We can learn a lot from the mountain glaciers in our backyard. These are also great places for undergraduates to learn about glaciers and the alpine environments. We've had numerous small projects on glaciers in the Washington North Cascades, Mount Rainier, and Alaska's Kennicott Glacier. And we've just taken the time to explore glaciers in Ecuador, the Himalaya, and around the world.
