Lecture1.001.jpg

Foundations of Geophysics is a course covering the fundamental approaches to geophysical problems using Conservation of Mass, Momentum, and Energy with a continuum mechanics approach. We study problems in fluid flow, lithospheric flexure, gravity, magnetism, among others.  The class is designed for first-year geophysics graduate students and as a capstone course for undergraduate geophysics students. Erin teaches this course with Dr. Jeff Freymueller.
